Math Kangaroo, which started in Australia in 1978, has grown into an international math competition with
over 6 million student participants from 80 different countries, including the United States, Canada, and Germany.
Students from grades G1-12 are eligible to participate, but it is especially popular among elementary school students.
The competition focuses on creativity and critical thinking, making it a great way to reignite the interest for students who may have lost their enthusiasm for math. Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals are awarded to the top 30% of students, making it an excellent opportunity to aim for an award. It’s also a great competition to awaken the hidden interest in math for your children.
